Hampshire’s beautiful Broadlands Estate welcomed the return of the two-day Broadlands Country Show over the Bank Holiday weekend, where families, sporting stars and those simply wanting to enjoy a day out in the country, came in their droves through the gates to get involved in a huge line up of countryside fun!

Set within the spectacular grounds of the Broadlands Estate, the family-orientated show had everything from world-class field sports competitions and have-a-go opportunities, to lots of family inspired performances and entertainment.

In fact, this year’s Broadlands Country Show offered even more for families with little ones than ever before. From the dedicated Kids Zone with face painting, balloon modelling and a mini farm, to lots of hands on activities with the Wessex Ferret Club and the returning British Falconry & Raptor Fair, the kids had a great time trying out the different features and have a go activities. The older ones too enjoyed areas such as the Food Festival with the all-new Chefs Demo Area, craft and antiques fairs, gundog events, clay shooting, lots of live music as well as the 200 plus exhibition stands that sold all sorts of country-inspired goods and accessories.

Operations Director, Jerome Roberts, says of the weekend’s celebrations: “We are thrilled so many of you joined us for the Bank Holiday weekend at the Broadlands Country Show. Not only is Broadlands home to many fantastic features such as the sporting championship qualifiers, the Realtree Main Arena and hundreds of shopping opportunities, Broadlands also welcomed in the British Falconry & Raptor Fair too, which saw some of the UK’s top falconers take to the showground to perform with some truly remarkable birds of prey. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Broadlands this year, we are delighted that visitors got involved and into the spirit of the event. With our Highclere Country Show now just around the corner, we hope visitors who enjoyed this year’s event will join us once again in the remarkable grounds of Highclere Castle.”

The next event in the Countryman Fairs event portfolio is the Highclere Country Show, which takes place at Highclere Castle over 26th and 27th May 2019. To find out more about the upcoming Highclere Country Show and to book tickets, visit www.highclerecountryshow.co.uk
